Katie Liddiard
www.katieliddiardart.com Katie was born in 1984 and raised in northern Utah. As a very young girl she loved drawing and was determined to be a professional artist when she grew up. After high school she attended Snow College and majored in visual art, but always felt like there should be more in her education. Luckily one of her professors exposed her to the possibilities of creating art on a technically superior level through studying at the various academies around the world. She stayed in college long enough to acquire her Associate's degree in 2005, but immediately afterward she applied to the Florence Academy of Art (FAA) and started attending it in March of 2006.

While at the FAA she quickly realized that it was the full and thorough education she'd always hoped for and that she truly could achieve the level of quality in her work that she'd envisioned for herself. A whole new world was opened which only motivated her more in her drive to achieve the goals she set out for herself early on.
Katie attended the Florence Academy for one school year, but was forced to go home due to financial issues. Determined not to give up on her education, Katie started attending The Center for Academic Study and Naturalist Painting (CAS) in 2009 opened by FAA graduate Ryan Brown. Under Ryan's tutelage, she continued to grow into the artist she had always wanted to be.
Katie currently lives and works in Provo, Utah with her husband. As Assistant Director of the CAS she teaches similarly dedicated students to pass on the academic tradition and to help them realize their potential as her mentors helped her.
